My name’s Nora, I’m 22 years old and I’m a gameplay designer and scripter. One of my favorite things in game development and design is to create engaging and interesting gameplay systems and mechanics, and balancing these systems so that they don’t only feel awesome to use and experience, but to also make sure that they are tied together to the overall design and feel of the game. I also love to create systems that supports a narrative, e.g. quest design and similar systems. Other interests in game development includes QA, which I see as a way of learning more of different aspects of design, and narrative design – mostly in the aspects of supporting and enforcing gameplay. While my biggest strength is design, I’ve grown more and more interested in programming and scripting, and am currently learning C++ on my free time and am actively honing my skills in visual scripting.
My goal as a designer is to create great games that can give the player hours of immersive and engaging gameplay and narrative… or just a few minutes of entertainment on the subway. In every project that I’m on, I always strive to give it my all and make that game the best it can be. If it’s a genre or setting I’m not familiar with – I will make sure to be!
I’m currently studying Game Design at Futuregames Academy here in Stockholm, and I’m also searching for internship from January – August 2018!
